The basic idea...

"The basic idea behind open source is very simple. When programmers on the Internet can read, redistribute, and modify the source for a piece of software, it evolves. People improve it, people adapt it, people fix bugs. And this can happen at a speed that, if one is used to the slow pace of conventional software development, seems astonishing...
...The Open Source pages exist to make this case to the commercial world."    - Introduction to Open Source - www.opensource.org

* Notification Plus

market download Notification Plus delivers recurring notifications via the phone's vibrator or notification ringtone. This is especially useful for phones which lack a notification LED, such as the Nexus S and Galaxy S variants.

Because there is no way for the application to receive all notifications in a uniform way, only certain events will trigger the recurring notification. Those events include:
- SMS messages
- GMail messages
- Missed calls

This application is free software, licensed under the GNU GPL v3. The source code can be found on the project home page: http://code.google.com/p/notification-plus/

The Notification Plus icon comes from the Oxygen KDE 4 theme, found here: http://people.freedesktop.org/~jimmac/icons/#oxygen
